Hershey Park
We’re looking for volunteers to man some of the rides and concession stands at Hershey Park on August 19. For our efforts, Hershey Park will pay us an hourly wage per person that will go into our scholarship fund. Your reward will be your pride in helping others afford to go to Penn State, you get a FREE pass to Hersheypark for another day, AND YOU GET TO RIDE ALL THE RIDES FOR FREE FROM 5 P.M. TO CLOSING!

It promises to be a day of work and lots of fun, and it’s all for a good cause. If you are interested in helping, please IMMEDIATELY call Harry Flick at (717) 569-6280 to sign up and for more details.

Relay for Life: American Cancer Walk
The Nittany Lion Club is once again sponsoring a team for the Lancaster Relay For Life event to be held at Lancaster Catholic High School on June 9-10 . The walk begins at 6:00 pm with a Survivors’ Lap, followed by the introduction of all the teams in a special lap. The walkers continue until 9:00 pm when time is taken for a moving luminaria service remembering those who were lost to cancer, those who are still struggling with the disease and those who are survivors. The laps resume, and continue until 5:00 pm the following day, when the closing ceremonies and awards’ recognitions are held. There are many activities and lots of musical acts throughout the 24 hours to keep everyone entertained!

We need people to walk and support our team with their monetary donations, support, and encouragement. Our team needs to be between 8-15. If you are willing to walk, please contact Carol Dittoe at cdittoe@dejazzd.com. We will be having a team meeting on May 24 to review the plans, decide on walking times, food, shelter, and anything else that arises. Show your support of the club and your concern with finding a cure for cancer by joining our team today!
